Our Policies
Appointments-
At Journey Massage and Spa Services, sessions are by appointment only. To ensure appointment availability, we suggest that you schedule a regular series of appointments.
Cancellation Policy-
Our time together is important. All cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to cancel will result in the payment of a missed appointment fee of 50% of the booked service.
Gift Certificates -
Gift certificates are available for purchase at any time. They are valid one year from the date of purchase. Gift certificates will be forfeited for appointment no shows.
Lateness Policy -
We request that you arrive early for your appointment. Our massage therapy policies state: If you arrive late for your appointment, the time left will be used to its best advantage.
Personal Property -
The client is responsible for personal property at all times. We will attempt to contact a client after finding personal property, but we are not responsbile for lost property or items left behind. Please be sure to take all clothing, jewelry and other personal items at the conclusion of the session.
Professional Boundaries-
It is important to have honesty and openness between client and the massage therapist. Feedback about the effectiveness of the work, situations or body areas that may be uncomfortable or painful, techniques that you enjoy or did not like is very important. Please feel free to share this information as you become aware of it. Sometimes it is hard to remember our areas that are sensitive until they are touched. If we do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, tell us. We will not be offended. Respect for client boundaries is very important.
Attempts at sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. Requests for sexual activity are not tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs.
Confidentiality and Conversation-
The discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the massage. We are happy to listen to your conversation and share our professional expertise. Information about your treatments or health background will not shared without your consent and is kept in the utmost confidence.
Minors-
Journey Massage and Spa Services gratefully accepts the responsibility to work with minors under the age of eighteen. Children, under the age of eighteen, will not be seen without a parent or guardian present in the office.
Web Privacy Policy-
Visiting this web site does not require you to disclose any information about yourself. At times, visitors provide such information in the "Contact Us" section for the purpose of gaining more information or a response from Journey Massage and Spa Services. In this case any personally identifiable information you provide will be used to fulfill your specific requests.
